The latest Numberphile video goes into more detail with Alex Dainis, speaking about her synesthesia.
Here is the video:
And here is the original video on which is this based.
Here are the graphs by Dave Wiley with are mentioned in the new video.

Some recent videos
It's been a crazy couple of days, with some exciting new videos going up across a few of my channels.
Here is a re-cap:
On periodicvideos we were inside a Noble Metals factory - where the metal is worth so much they even wipe the dust off your shoes!
On computerphile, my colleague Sean interviewed Tom Rodden about algorithms.
A new series on nottinghamscience kicked off with this video - it is all about our scientists putting objects in our specially designed Time Capsule... More on this soon.
These two videos on numberphile dealt with breaking news in the world of prime numbers.
Lastly, on my new "secret channel" I put these two videos.
The channel - BradyStuff - is just a lucky dip of video material I have nowhere else to put.
In recent days I have been going through some old GoPro files and found these... It was a chance to show a couple of old experiments at greater length from different angles... And I've uploaded them at higher resolution.

Prime Number News
Any news about prime numbers is sure to cause excitement for Numberphile.
Here are two videos we made for news of a new proof regarding the gaps between primes.
The first is the main video - followed by the extra footage.
For die-hard fans, the papers in the video are on ebay, along with the revision notes used by Ed and Tony.

A double helping of irony
The latest Numberphile videos feature Matt Parker explaining some popular maths jokes - deliberately going into forensic detail.
Animations by Pete McPartlan.
Of course jokes are not typically funny when you have to explain them... And some of these jokes clearly don't need explaining at all.
But that is kind of the point of OUR joke... The videos are sort of ironic.
(And in a double twist of irony, I have now explained OUR joke!)

A new Prof portrait!
I haven't shown this to the real Prof yet - it was sent in by a viewer called Emz.
She said: "I drew a picture of The Professor. I thought you guys might enjoy it, and hopefully get a laugh out of it! Thanks so much for these videos, they're AMAZING!"
Click here for a little collection of Prof portraits from over the years.

The Mona Lisa expressed as a binary number
Of course I had no idea how to do this, so I asked my boffin mate Dr James Clewett (star of numerous videos).
He produced three versions for me - ones and zeros in bits; RGB bytes displayed a hexidecimal numbers in bytes; and finally the hexidecimal numbers again as bytes for the gray-scale image.
I don't have more detail about this as yet (but am secretly hoping he'll write guest blog to explain it).
The 0s and 1s version starts like this...
110001101101011011001010111110
And continues for about 5-6 million digits.
If you really want to see them all, click here: DROPBOX FILE (corrected - sorry an earlier version was wrong!)

Do you know these people?
During the trip, we were walking along a trail near the village of Namche Bazaar.
My Nepalese guide - Buddhi - was taking a comfort break in the trees when he found an SD card.
It was raining and the card was wet, but the photos were intact.
It contains holiday pictures from an as-yet unidentified couple (see pic above).
If you can help me find them, email lostcardman@gmail.com
I know if someone found an SD card containing my photos they would try to return them, however unlikely!
